It&#8217;s a chance to explore the outdoors, learn new skills, build independence and make fantastic memories with friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether it&#8217;s your child&#8217;s first sleepover or their next big camping adventure, being prepared will help them make the most of the experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below is a general packing checklist to help you get organised. <strong>Always check the information provided by your Leader before each camp<\/strong>, as equipment requirements will vary depending on the activities, location and weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>And most importantly \u2014 LABEL EVERYTHING!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sleeping Gear<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sleeping bag suitable for the expected temperatures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sleeping mat or mattress<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pillow<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pyjamas or comfortable sleeping clothes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extra blanket if needed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Favourite soft toy or comfort item for younger members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Clothing<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>T-shirts and comfortable clothes for each day, plus spares<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shorts or long pants suitable for outdoor activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jumper, warm jacket and beanie<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Underwear and socks for each day, plus extras<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Waterproof raincoat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comfortable, enclosed shoes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spare pair of shoes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hat (preferably wide-brimmed or bucket style)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Swimwear and towel if water activities are planned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Toiletries<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Toothbrush and toothpaste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Soap and face washer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hairbrush or comb<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Small shampoo and conditioner if needed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Towel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Personal hygiene items<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plastic or waterproof bags for dirty or wet clothes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other Essentials<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Water bottle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sunscreen (SPF 50+ recommended)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insect repellent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Torch or head torch with spare batteries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Small day backpack<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Notebook and pen, if required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any additional equipment requested by your Leader<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Medications<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your child requires medication during camp, please ensure you follow the instructions provided by your Leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Medications must be clearly labelled and managed in accordance with the camp&#8217;s requirements.
