This special event will bring together past and present members, families, neighbours, and supporters to celebrate a centenary of youth development, community spirit, and shared achievements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Fullarton Scout Group has a proud history that reflects the enduring values of Scouting in SA. The group began in 1955 through the amalgamation of the two vibrant Fullarton Scout groups of St Chad’s and Rosefield who were deeply embedded in the local community. The decision to combine resources and vision created a strong unified Group that continues to thrive today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed to build confidence, leadership, adventure and enjoyment of the outdoors, Fullarton has grown to support members aged between 5 and 26 over many decades. Fullarton was one of the earliest local Scout Groups to welcome girls in the 1970’s, expanding opportunities and ensuring Scouting in the area remained inclusive, relevant and forward-looking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deeply connecting our community, our hall was built largely by Scouting families who volunteered their time, skills, and effort. Construction began in 1958 with a budget of 2,300 pounds. It was officially opened in September 1959, led by the local mayor of Unley, Alderman C.F. Page, and has remained a vital hub for youth activities, gatherings and celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Long serving members often speak of the lifelong friendships, skills, and sense of purpose that scouting at Fullarton has given them. Our centenary celebration offers the perfect opportunity to reflect on this legacy and look forward to many years ahead of adventure and service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
