Our hall is within the Ridge Park Recreation Reserve<\/a> of the City of Unley and fronts Barr Smith Avenue, Myrtle Bank. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hall is used by the Scout Group on some weekday evenings during school terms and occasionally for special events on weekends. Hiring day-time or some weekend would be most welcome. Parties for young adults is discouraged as we value our good relationship with our neighbours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Facilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • The main hall has a clear usable area of approximately 13m x 10m of bamboo flooring;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • plus a commercial kitchen with stainless steel benches, hot plate, oven, fridge, and microwave;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • plus separate male and female toilets;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • there is also an adjacent meeting room 4m x 9m with a street-front external entry with a conference table with 8 plastic chairs;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • no disabled access to the main floor level (5 steps) and no disabled toilet;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • there are 10 trestle tables available, with 71 plastic stacking chairs with metal legs (46 cream and 25 orange).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • can accommodate about 80 persons;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • a wood fire is available (no wood to be supplied);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • there are 4 whiteboards and a large motorised roll-up\/down projector screen;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • off-street parking for up to 10 cars in a nearby tennis court car park.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

     Fees for Hiring the Hall<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The cost of hiring the Scout Hall is $275 for the first 4 hours and $68 for every extra hour. 24 hours of hire is available for $550. Prices include GST. You must book for set-up and clean-up times (normally included in the fee).\u00a0All new hirings are subject to a $600 bond refundable on the return of the key if the hall is adequately\u00a0cleaned after the event, such that the hall has been left in a state where we don’t have to clean it before its next use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Long-term hiring is welcomed. Significant discounts can be negotiated.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Special arrangements\u00a0for committee groups, scout groups and other community groups. POA<\/strong> (Price on application).<\/strong> \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Conditions of Hire<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Before hiring, proof of current Public Liability Insurance must be provided. Minimum AU$ 10,000,000.00 <\/strong>(Ten million dollars)<\/strong>. <\/strong>This will be by way of a certificate from your insurer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A standard Scout hall hiring contract will have to be completed and fees paid at the time of completing that agreement. Basic conditions are that the Scout Hall is left in the state that you found it or better and that you don’t interfere with Scout Group items. Any damage is to be paid by the hirer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
