We are excited to invite everyone to an upcoming working bee at the
Stradbroke Scout Hall on Sunday the 30th of April from 11 am to
2 pm.
We are seeking all parents to participate in this event, and we would
love to see as many of you as possible come along and lend a
hand. This is a chance to meet other parents, get involved with the
community, and have some fun with your family while helping to improve
the Scout Hall.
We will be cleaning up leaves and organic matter around the hall,
disposing of old bricks, and taking waste to the tip and other general
maintenance around the hall. Scouts and older participants may assist
with these tasks, while Cubs and younger children can play at the
school under parental supervision.
We are looking for volunteers to bring a trailer or ute for taking
waste to the tip and cooks for the BBQ (preparation and cooking).
If you can bring tools such as rakes and shovels, that would be
greatly appreciated too. Please bring your own PPE (gloves, etc) to
ensure everyone’s safety.
After the working bee, we will be hosting a BBQ for all participants.
Let’s make this a fantastic day for everyone involved.
We hope to see you there!
Facebook and Instagram are fantastic ways to promote Scouting. Please enjoy their use by posting photos and stories about the great activities you are doing in Scouts.
