Committees: Supporting Our Scouts
State Committees
Scouts SA has several committees responsible for advising the Board of Directors and making decisions within their delegated authorities.
These include:
- Safeguarding and Vulnerable People Committee
- Finance and Audit Committee
- Human Endeavour Recognition Committee
- Risk and Governance Committee
- Remunerations Committee
Group Committees
Each Scout Group has its own Committee of Management, known as a Group Committee. This committee typically comprises parents, adults, and carers of youth members. Together, they ensure that the Leaders have the necessary resources to provide a high-quality Scouting experience.
The Group Committee plays a crucial role in:
- Supporting the delivery of the Scouting program
- Managing Group funding, property, and equipment
Group Committees typically meet monthly to discuss important matters related to running the Group and maintaining its property and equipment. Their efforts help create a supportive and well-equipped environment for all Scouts.
