Brock’s Work Experience with Scouts SA

My name is Brock. I am a Lone Venturer and Youth Helper with the Roxby Downs Scout Group. I was lucky enough to spend the week at Scouts SA for my Year 10 Work Experience. I worked with both the Marketing and ICT Departments.

During work experience with the Marketing Team, I was asked to design some Instagram posts advertising our SRC (Scout Recycling Centres), as well as designing some Christmas Cards. I also assisted in the preparation and cutting/distribution of flyers and research into SRC feedback.

With the ICT Department, I removed unwanted and unused programs and printers from Staff Office computers and backed up and troubleshooted a Group Laptop and iPads. I also looked at Terrain, and created a map for the IT systems and their uses at Scouts SA.
