October 21, 2025

Scouts SA are proud to congratulate Isaac McInness (Summit Streams Venturer) on being named the 2025 Blind Australian of the Year – Youth Award recipient.

Isaac was nominated by the Eastern Fleurieu R-12 School, where he’s known for his adaptability, academic excellence (especially in mathematics), and leadership. In 2024, Isaac achieved his Australian Scout Award. He is a great role model and a shining example of what a Scout should be.

Beyond the classroom, Isaac is a dedicated and accomplished athlete. He is a proud member of his local Little Athletics Club. He has served as Club Captain for two years, gaining strong leadership skills and lifelong friendships.

Whether he’s cycling, ice skating, or climbing, Isaac is an adventurer at heart and always wears his Scout uniform with pride.

Isaac leads by example, encouraging those around him through dedicated teamwork, empathy, and service.

Congratulations, Isaac, you genuinely are a deserving recipient of the Blind Australian of the Year – Youth Award, and we couldn’t be prouder of you.
