Cohen Cup 2025: Outback Adventures Unfold
May 20, 2025And that’s a wrap on the Outback Extravaganza that was Cohen Cup 2025!
Scouts from across South Australia recently gathered for one of the year’s most anticipated events – Cohen Cup 2025. This two-day camp craft and cooking competition took place on May 17-18 at our beloved Woodhouse Adventure Park, offering a weekend filled with challenge, teambuilding and outdoor adventure.
First held in 1938, the Cohen Cup has evolved over the decades to become a cornerstone of the Scouting calendar. This year’s event included Scouts of all ages, from 5 to 26, with the exciting addition of the Advanced Camping & Pioneering category for leaders and adult helpers. This new category added a fresh element of competition and collaboration, ensuring something for everyone.

This year’s theme, “Outback Extravaganza,” encouraged participants to showcase their bushcraft skills and creative campfire cooking while navigating the natural beauty of the Adelaide Hills. The theme encouraged many interesting teams to join the competition such as the “Croc Wrestling Tradies”, the “Magic Pudding”, the “Kannibalistic Kangaroos” and of course, the winners of the 2025 Cohen Cup, the “Gum Trees and Plum Trees”.
