At Scouts SA, nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of the children in our care. As a thriving, modern organisation, we are committed to fostering a safe and secure environment and remain vigilant and proactive in identifying and preventing any form of child abuse.
Our Safeguarding Policy mandates the immediate reporting of any allegations of child abuse to the police and other relevant child protection authorities.
Any person suspecting that abuse has occurred may seek confidential advice directly from the Child Abuse Report Line or Scouts SA Head Office.

Adult Screening Requirements
All adults at Scouts SA are thoroughly screened, requiring a National Police Check, a valid, verified Working with Children Check, and at least two verified character references.
All approved Adult Leaders receive comprehensive and ongoing training across various subjects, including leadership, WHS and risk management, youth protection, and the multiple aspects of Scouting. All leaders must agree to abide by a Code of Conduct incorporating the essential principles of child protection.
