Welcome to the 2nd Adelaide Scout Group.
The 2nd Adelaide Scout Group has been a proud part of the scouting movement since 1909, just two years after Robert Baden-Powell (BP), the founder of the Scout movement, published “Scouting for Boys.” Over the years, we have had various homes and are now based at 1 Maitland St, Mitcham SA 5062.
We offer exciting programs for youth aged 5 to 26, filled with fun, adventurous, challenging, and inclusive activities that you can enjoy with friends! Scouting provides age-based sections so your child can have fun and adventure with others their age.
Our programs include:
Our Group is managed by trained volunteers who deliver fantastic Scouting programs, and we are always looking for more volunteers to join our team!
We would love to hear from you! There’s nothing better than a face-to-face discussion, so please feel free to drop by for a chat with one of our Leaders. Learn about our program, which is packed with life-enriching skills and events for both youth and the entire family.
Thinking of joining Scouts but don’t know what section is the one for your child?
All the sections of Scouting are broken up into age groups so that your child can experience the appropriate level of challenge and adventure. For example, the Cub Scouts might race wooden Cub Cars in a derby challenge but the Rover Scout section can build and race their own cars!
