Super Splash 2025: Ending the Year with a Splash!

Hundreds of youths recently flooded Camp Illawonga to enjoy the biggest end-of-year event on the Scouts SA calendar – Super Splash 2025.

Spanning the entire weekend, attendees enjoyed a variety of activities, both on land and in the water. These included kayaking on the river, scaling the climbing wall, taking aim at the shooting range, and enjoying some friendly wrestling competitions. There were so many activities to enjoy!

The fun didn’t stop there, as festivities continued into the night, with dancing, karaoke, and good vibes aplenty.

We asked some Venturers in attendance what they loved about the event, and both the disco and archery were big hits! However, above all else, hanging out with friends and making unforgettable memories were the most prized moments.

Mika, a Venturer Scout Leader who attended the event, also said she appreciated seeing her youth members enjoy their time and have fun.

“I really enjoyed watching the venturers relax and give things a go at their own pace, without the pressure of needing to do certain things or rush through everything”, she said. “It was good to see most of the outdoor adventurous activities offered to the attendees to give it a go.”
