Venture24 Event Experiences

Scouts SA were thrilled to have a number of Venturer scouts attend the Venture 2024 event in Victoria between December 2023 and January 2024. The event, hosted by Scouts Victoria, brings Venturer Scouts together for an unforgettable experience, through five days of thrill and seeking and adventure.

We invited two of our Venturer Scouts, Brock from Roxby Downs and Colby from Mt Gambier, along with Colby’s mum Kylie, to share their experiences. Brock was involved with the “‘Amazing Race”‘ venture through a number of Victorian destinations, while Colby & Kylie enjoyed a trek into the Victorian High Plains with the Bogong River Chalet Adventures. 

Brock’s venture saw 150 venturers split into teams of 6, before embarking their adventure through iconic Victorian landmarks. In typical ‘amazing race’ style, teams were provided route information cards to find their next destinations, with a few Scout surprises along the way. Click here to read about Brock’s venture. 

Colby & Kylie’s venture saw a group of a venturers take to the Alpine National Park, about 13km out of Falls Creek, for a range of hiking and mountain biking adventures amidst some of Victoria’s best scenery. Click here to read about Colby & Kylie’s venture.
