Scouting offers young people the opportunity to make friends, build confidence, learn new skills and experience exciting adventures, all while providing great value for families.
At Flinders Park Scout Group, we aim to keep Scouting affordable and accessible so more young people can enjoy everything it has to offer.

Your child can join in activities, meet our Leaders and make new friends before deciding whether to become a member.
There are no membership fees during the trial period, and parents are welcome to come along and see what Scouts is all about.

Membership Fees
Once your child decides to join, the following fees apply:
Annual Scouts SA Membership Fee
- $180 per year
One-Off Joining Fees
- $35 Group Joining Fee (badges and scarf)

The annual Scouts SA membership fee helps cover insurance, training, resources and support services.
Our Group fees contribute to weekly activities, equipment, badges, hall maintenance and the ongoing running costs of Flinders Park Scout Group.
Sports Vouchers – Save on Membership Fees!
The South Australian Government’s Sports Vouchers Plus program helps families with the cost of children’s sport and recreation activities, including Scouts!
Eligible children can access two $100 Sports Vouchers each calendar year, providing up to $200 towards eligible fees.
In 2026, the program is available to children in Reception to Year 9. From 1 January 2027, eligibility expands to young people aged 5–18.
Sports Vouchers can be used towards the Scouts SA Branch membership fee, helping reduce the cost of joining.

Uniforms
Once your child joins Scouts, they’ll need a Scout uniform, which includes a shirt, scarf and other appropriate uniform items.

Camps, Excursions and Special Activities
Scouting offers plenty of opportunities to explore beyond regular weekly meetings!
Throughout the year, our sections may participate in camps, sleepovers, hikes, excursions and other adventures.
Some of these activities involve additional costs, depending on the location, duration and activities involved.
We aim to keep these costs as affordable as possible, and families will be provided with information before each activity.
Fundraising and Supporting Our Group
Flinders Park Scout Group is supported by our dedicated volunteers, membership fees and fundraising activities.
Fundraising helps us maintain our Scout Hall, purchase equipment and create more opportunities for young people to enjoy Scouting.
Families are encouraged to get involved where they can, particularly when raising funds for special events or larger adventures.
Payments
Flinders Park Scout Group is a cashless group.
Membership fees are invoiced, and payments can be made by bank transfer using the details provided on your invoice.
