Some Local Councils, Government Agencies or large businesses offer grants for community organisations. Although there a lot of grants on offer, they have very specific criteria to be eligible to apply for a grant. So the possiblity of success for the Scout Group is very reduced. The Group Support Committee tries to seek grants whenever possible, but often the time for preparation of the paperwork is very limited and sometimes very complex to assemble.
