On Sunday 21st November 2021, the SA Branch held the Adult Recognition Awards at Prince Alfred College. A variety of youth presenters reflected the true essence of what Scouting is about, Youth Led and Adult Supported.
Because the 2020 Awards were cancelled due to Covid-19, the awards showcased a combination of nominees from both 2020 and 2021. In total 270 awardees were presented with medals…a wonderful culmination of dedication and commitment.
Scouts SA is proud of all awardees, particularly the three who received an elite Silver Kangaroo Award. The Silver Kangaroo is a recognition for achievement and exceptional service to Scouts Australia. Usually these individuals are adult members in active leadership roles, who are additionally acting in numerous roles at various levels within the organisation. They offer a unique and highly valued contribution to the well-being of Scouting.
The awards process is undertaken over a 12-month period, and nominations are now open for 2022! Successful nominations will be announced on World Scout Day, August 1.
Congratulations to all recipients and thank you for your ongoing service to Scouting. To discover more about the nomination process, click here.
