Youth Awards Ceremony

December 10, 2021

“This was a re-imagining of the new ‘Youth Awards Ceremony’, as we had the Joey and Cub Peak Award recipients with us in person for the first time in a very long period.”

Scouts SA

This inspirational event was held on Sunday 5th of December at Woodhouse Activity Centre. It was a celebration of a total of 373 award recipients from 2020 and 2021. We were extremely proud as we recognised our youth peak awardees. The following award categories included:

  • Joey Promise Challenge Award
  • Joey Challenge Award
  • Grey Wolf
  • Australian Scout Medallion
  • Australian Scout Award
  • Queen’s Scout Award
  • Baden-Powell Scout Award.

Scouts SA Chief Commissioner (Jan Turbill) presented all of the excited Youth their congratulations letters and certificates. The recipient’s families and various group representatives were there to support and cheer on. Many families stayed for the entire day and enjoyed the Woodhouse Activity Centre’s facilities. The atmosphere was truly electric.

These awards are a testament to the solid commitment our youth apply during their Scouting journey. We are privileged to witness the invaluable life-skills youth adopt through Scouts and how they grow and develop in all areas of life, beyond the Scouting world. We are extremely proud of our award recipients and continue to enjoy witnessing their positive progress currently and hopefully far into the future.

A true reflection of the joy and fulfillment discovered in Scouting!
